Once you have made the decision to get into better shape, goal setting and a clear plan are essential. By learning to make your body and mind join forces, you reap remarkable benefits. My coaching begins with fitness fundamentals: core strength, flexibility, stamina, discipline and balance. These fundamentals serve as a framework and as a metaphor for everything (else) we want to be, do or have in life. I believe in training the mind and body as one. Working through the body becomes a transformative and empowering path.
We will also explore the best and most nutritious food combinations for you. Every body is different; every body responds in different ways to different foods. Feeling and looking your best also requires discovering which foods work for and against you. I have been applying these life-transforming disciplines for more than 25 years, and realize that all my clients have their own very specific and individualized needs. By utilizing a unique blend of Eastern and Western philosophies and sciences, I assist my clients in reaching their goals, and in attaining an invigorating balance of mind, body and spirit. Pilates Pilates is a key element of the BodyCoach fitness program. Developed in the 1920's by Joseph H. Pilates, Pilates is a way to build strength and flexibility without adding bulk. I was trained by Master Teacher Romana Kryzanowska, and I have the official Pilates apparatus in my studio. Shiatsu & Jin-shin-jytsu My personal commitment to you is that you will walk out of a session with me feeling a sense of harmonious well-being. To achieve this, the final phase of a session includes my own blend of Shiatsu acupressure and Jin-shin-jytsu. You lie on your back on a specially designed massage table. Applying gentle pressure to energy points along the clothed body, I use my hands as jumper cables to free up and balance a clean energy flow. Some have described the experience as a "phenomenal breakthrough," and others say it puts them in "a state of Nirvana." |
